Who knew you could hang out under a bridge and have a great time? The Waterfront, in Homestead, invited us to be a part of their “Vibes Under the Bridge” party. Look at this guest list: Meg Evans from The Rock Bottom and some “Uppity Jagoff” talk, Leigh and David from Barrels to Beethoven, the guys from The Beauty Slap, John Knight and KDKA-TV’s Ron Smiley. Our question of the podcast? Are you comfortable using portable toilets?

And YaJagoff has your chance to win 2 tickets to the September 19th rookie signing just for correctly answering a question, from this podcast, that will post on Facebook Tuesday. If you answer correctly, you will be entered into a random drawing to sore the chance to meet these 2017/2018 Steelers.

Key word: Tennis Balls!

26:28 Leigh Solomon Pugliano and David Pugliano, while on break from performing, talk to us about their Barrels to Beethoven project. #YaJagoffPodcast / Episode 83 | August 29, 2017

Aug 21, 2017

We finished the 2017 J&D Waterproofing Summer Porch Tour with a huuuuge party and Super Bowl 43 MVP, Santonio Holmes, comedian Ray Zawodni, “Bub” the zombie from The Scarehouse. Jay Weaver and Olga Watkins from the Olga Watkins Band, crushed the music. Thanks to Everyone Loves Fun Entertainment who brought the Quarterback Blitz, 5 Generations Bakers who supplied the Cinnamon Swirls, Ernie Ricci who gave us hot sausage for breakfast and The Foundry Table & Tap for the mimosas.

YaJagoff! Podcast - Show Notes: Episode The Olga Watkins Band (OlgaWatkinsBand.com)

01:16 The last J&D Waterproofing took us to Robinson Township, the home of Tom and Carlotta. It was excruciatingly hot but we all endured. Comedian Ray Zawodni was the guest co-host once he got through Parkway West traffic.

SPONSOR: Total Sports Enterprises will be at the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership Farmers Market this Thursday and next for your chance to win an office makeover worth $2500 and to score some of your own favorite sports pieces. September 16th Biiiig Signing! Super Bowl MVP Santonio Holmes, James Conner, Sean Davis, JuJu Smith Schuster! Check tseshop.com for details.

02:38 We meet the homeowners and all of our sponsors. I big game of “throw a tennis ball over the hill into the pool” has already started. It’s a family game so don’t worry if you have no idea what that means.

11:00 Santonio Holmes got heavily involved in the “throw a tennis ball over the hill into the pool” and was quite competitive. He’s raising money for “Strikes Against Sickle Cell” through his III & Long Foundation. Make sure you donate and be ready to come bowl with 32 of his celebrity friends on October 10th at Paradise Island Bowl. Stay tuned for details!

29:28 “Bub” a zombie from The Scarehouse came to personally present Tom and Carlotta their special VIP tickets. And we talked to him about how he died and his “tastes” in humans.

36:47 Comedian Ray Zawodni tells us about his recent career change, and his new podcast about quitting jobs, “No Weeks Notice” – plus, he talks about his uncle’s reaction to meeting KDKA’s Bob Pompeani!

43:40 Olga Watkins and Jay Weaver crushed the music today. If you’re not a fan, you’re a Jagoff! Well known years ago for their Steelers song, “Drink Up Yinz Bitches,” but they are the best funk, blues, soul, reggae, jazz band in town. Listen/purchase their songs here and follow Jay’s recording studio, SoundColor Productions.

52:43 We get to meet the Pittsburgh Podcast Network intern, Hannah Lapiska. She has been on 3 podcasts so far and STILL likes us!

#YaJagoffPodcast / Episode 82 | August 22, 2017

Aug 7, 2017

For the first time ever, Red Bull brought it’s world-recognized “Flugtag” to the shores of Pittsburgh.  Needless to say, we participated with the Flying Pittsburgh Parking Chair and a podcast from behind the scenes at the Flugtag hangar area.  Guests were the Flying Parking Chair Team, Judge Lee Terbosic, Ed Wolfe from the Regatta Board of Directors, our sponsors Ryan from Primanti’s and Danielle Spinola from Tupelo Honey Teas and other teams! Crazzzzeeee day.

LISTEN to the Podcast show right here below:
YaJagoff! Podcast -  Show Notes: Episode Music: Pittsburgh Song Polka, Ron Romanovsky

01:27     From the EQT 3 Rivers Regatta Flugtag Hangar area as we gear up to hit the flight deck with our Flying Pittsburgh Parking Chair.
Meet the Flying Pittsburgh Parking Chair Team, Andrew Paul Holly Koening Amanda Narcisi and 134lb, experienced BMXer, Linus Pietrusza and the lead Yinzerneer, Pittsburgh’s very own Salvage Artist, David Calfo.

SPONSOR: Total Sports Enterprises will host Charity Sunday at the Mall at Robinson, at the lower level near Sears next Sunday from 4 until 7 where you can score the new YaJagoff tee shirt and proceeds benefit the Pittsburgh Emergency Medicine Foundation.  Plus we may be flying a Pgh parking chair today, but next Sunday see the ultimate Pittsburgh park bench that can be yours by supporting the Lemieux Foundation for a $10 donation to own the perfect seat.  Follow us on social media all week for more details and see both items on tseshop.com for more details.

09:01    Pittsburgh’s “Magedian,” Lee Terbosic is a Flugtag Judge.  Time to make it rain with some bribe money!  He had already been bribed with pierogi!

12:33    The Flying Pittsburgh Parking Chair would not have been possible without some financial support from local businesses. Two of them stopped by with some words of wisdom for the team, Danielle Spinola owner of Tupelo Honey Teas and Ryan Wilkinson, Director of Marketing of Primanti Brothers Restaurants.  Who could eat 20 Primanti sandwiches in one sitting?

18:53    Austin Furey, from the Flugtag team out of Canton, Ohio, Flite-Test, were winners in Boston. He joins us to talk about how they won AND how they plan on beating us with 8th graders designing their Flugtag vessel????

22:44    The Stanley Cup “Pens-WINGs” Flugtag team featured a fake Stanley Cup AND a fake Phil Pritchard (Keeper of the cup).  Dudes were cool! What is their secret?

26:09    Kenneth Wolfe, one of the Regatta Board Members stops by. How long has the Flugtag been in planning?  Can we bribe him to help us win? How much $$ is the Regatta worth to the area?

30:33    The gang from Have Fun, Do Good had a “Back to the Future” hover board craft which included Marty McFly to stand on the oversized hover board as it flew through the air. Their team included Pittsburgh painter, David O’Brien.

34:37    Last words from Holly about what is about to happen on the flight deck!

Plus we may be flying a Pittsburgh parking chair today, but next Sunday see the ultimate Pittsburgh park bench that can be yours by supporting the Lemieux Foundation for a $10 donation to own the perfect seat.  Follow us on social media all week for more details and see both items on tseshop.com for more details.

The 2017 Summer Porch Tour presented by J&D Waterproofing stops in Rural Ridge!  Because of the rain, we hung out in Amy’s garage where, once again, we had tons of food made by her and the neighbors to go with the Ricci’s Sausage that we brought.  WTAE-TV meteorologist Ray Petelin came with us and so did Brandi and Tyler Kennedy. So it rained a bit but, our buds from Everyone Loves Fun Entertainment STILL had something to entertain everyone! Mimosas from The Foundry Table & Tap were flowing early again.

YaJagoff! Podcast -  Show Notes: Episode Music: Justin Wade and Bobby of the Justin Wade Band hung out playing original and cover tunes.

01:38     Meet our first porch tour winner, Amy who, has an unbelievably scary basement full of horror film pics and props!  The phrase of the day, “Don’t go in the basement!”

SPONSOR: Total Sports Enterprises has mini helmets, pictures, clothing and more in black and gold and beyond with athlete signings in Virginia, Chicago, as well as Pittsburgh.  Visit tseshop.com to see where TSE will be this summer like the Pirates fan fave Adam Frazier who will be signing at the Mall at Robinson on August 5.  Total Sports Enterprises has all of your sports needs since every day is game day at TSE.
Erin from Everyone Loves Fun Entertainment brought a popcorn machine and all kinds of games to keep everyone entertained. Total Sports Enterprises gave Jackie an official Pirates banner.

09:23    Ray Petelin is no stranger to the podcast.  And, no stranger to being called on the carpet for bad weather.  But wait… did he say he was a DJ rapper and, what is the secret phrase, that must be repeated 3 times, to stop the rain???

22:13    Tyler and Brandi Kennedy found the blue tent and garage.  Tyler is working with the Pens, teaching in-line hockey skills and, on August 5th and 6th, is holding a Youth Dek Hockey Tournament at the North Hills Dek Hockey rink. If interested, email: TylerKennedyDekHockey@gmail.com

Brandi has started a new on-line clothing store based upon her taste for monochrome styles. It’s named for her daughter, Cookie Couture Clothing.

34:19    Justin Wade and Bobby, who have been entertaining everyone from the corner of the garage talk about the band, their newly released single, Four Wheels, and their upcoming single, Your Name. See them play live at these dates/locations.

Thanks to all of the Porch Tour prize peeps

Who has the power to shut down a bridge? Not us! But we rode the coat tails (and dog tails) of Animal Friends and hung out on the Roberto Clemente Bridge at their Bark n’At dog event which had a costume parade, dog games and a live band.  Our guests, Jim Krenn & Shannon Tremblay of Animal Friends, international fashion/travel blogger Sydney Carver and John and Krissy Knight all join us and answer our question of the week… “If you were a dog, what would you prefer: head scratch, belly rub or butt scratch?”

LISTEN to the Podcast show right here below:

YaJagoff! Podcast -  Show Notes: Episode Music: This, That & The Other Thing (Recorded Live on the Bridge)

01:30     Just like that, we are on the Roberto Clemente Bridge on one of the best weather nights all summer so far.  Rachael Rennebeck from Total Sports Enterprises is this week’s Guest Co-host because the conversation is going to involve “fashion” and John clearly knows NOTHING about it!

SPONSOR: TOTAL SPORTS ENTERPRISES IS SELF CONTAINED TO EXECUTE YOUR GOLF OUTING, EVENT AND FUNDRAISER  FROM START TO FINISH WITH SILENT AUCTION ITEMS FROM AUTOGRAPHED HELMETS AND SEATBACKS TO INSCRIBED WALL HANGINGS.  JUST VIST TSESHOP.COM FOR DETAILS.  PLUS, YOU HAVE UNTIL FRIDAY TO ENTER TO WIN AN OFFICE MAKEOVER WITH $2500 WORTH OF YOUR FAVORITE SPORTS PIECES THANKS TO TSE.  AGAIN, VISIT tseshop.com.

08:41    Jim Krenn, Pittsburgh’s fav nice-guy comedian and Shannon Tremblay appropriately describe the Bark n’At event, how Animal Friends helps pet owners including their pet food pantry and, of course they answer our question of the week.

18:46    Sydney Carver is an internationally known fashion, food and travel blogger based in Pittsburgh.  Through her blog SummerWind41490.com, she has become a huge social media influencer. So, does that mean she can’t hang out in a ball cap and sweat pants on vacation?  How does Pittsburgh stack up as far as fashion?  And, if she were a dog, would she want pet on the head, belly or tail?

34:03    John Knight, who write the “What Aggravates Me” blog every Saturday on YaJagoff.com stops with his wife to talk about why he’s never getting a dog.

43:04    The Burgess family who are the band “This, That & The Other Thing” are from Zelienople.  They were super kind to let us share their time and stage with us.  Find their Facebook page here.
Thanks to the gang at Animal Friends for letting us hang out! Make sure you go to their Facebook
Page to see pics of the Fort Pitt Bridge dog costume and all of the others!

Ok... we didn’t REALLY eat out of the Stanley Cup with Milena or any of our other guests. But we had a great time talking about what we WOULD eat out of it if we could. Milena has started her Totally Fit Mama brand and app, Amanda McKendree has a big softball tourney coming up in Johnstown and she wants your team.  Then, this week’s guest co-host, comedian Joe Bartnick, teams up with John’s son, Collin, to talk Pittsburgh comedy and the bloody nose Joe got the first time he and Collin met to play hockey.

10:00     Retired WWE Super Star, Milena Roucka (Rosa Mendes) has started Totally Fit Mama, an app, workout routine and eating plan.  The Pittsburgh pizzas and wings during her pregnancy was the key. She wants healthy food to taste as good as pizza and wings!  And what would she eat out of the Stanley Cup?

24:48     Amanda McKendree needs 4 more teams for her fundraising softball tournament in August. You need to sign up asap. This tournament is in honor of her father who is currently suffering from PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) for which there is no cure. What would Amanda eat out of the Stanley Cup?

33:45    Captain Wild Bill from the Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch” was  caught up in traffic.  His text was “It’s easier to negotiate the ocean that it is to do Pittsburgh traffic!” John’s son, comedian Collin Chamberlin sits in with Joe Bartnick to talk about Pittsburgh comedy.
